Selfdefiant’s fun new game can be found here. The mapthrough is here:
And Andre Govia’s photostream can be found here. You can’t tell but I used this picture which I found while perusing said photostream to create the shadows and light in my little illustration:
Now about this problem:
I’m sorry I can’t tell you how to manipulate the figure to get the desired outcome, all I can do is to show you that it is made up of three parts which I hope helps you solve the puzzle.
For some reason when I’m playing this game I can’t get the tune of Frosty the Snowman out of my head!
Here is an image you might find useful. It’s in the mapthrough too but for all its ubiquity it isn’t easy to make so I thought I would get more mileage out of it by putting it here.
The blue, red and yellow are primary colours and the purple, orange and green are made by combining primary colours. Knowing this may save you some time. I would like to tell you that I figured this out myself but I didn’t, over at EscapeGame24 I got help, thanks Bat E.
I am sorry I can’t tell you where I was when this game was new, but that’s top secret! I missed the great drama and the hardest clue ever. This game is still a challenge such that I had to go to EscapeGames24 to find a clue to the blue key. Thanks Selfdefiant. Yep that’s true, the master hisself provided the clue to finding the blue key!
“You don’t want to leave! You are looking for treasure!” Well guess what, I found treasure besides the treasure hidden in the Abandoned Mansion! But first let’s look at the mapthrough for Selfdefiant’s fun and perplexing new game.
Before I explain about the other treasure let’s take a look at the puzzle of the Sacred Book. I thought the object was to click the letters in alphabetical order, so it would go E, F, O, R, V. And the number 7 meant that solving the puzzle would gain you the 7th gem. Well that didn’t work but I noticed that the little cursor hand blinked when I went from F to O to R then I worked out that E came after R and then came V. Realizing that the letters didn’t spell out a word I figured that I had to get the Crystal Ball and zap to each room then something would happen that would get me the orange gem. After futilely searching for enough orbs to buy the crystal ball I gave up and looked to the perspecacious posters at EscapeGames24.com to find the actual answer. Thanks Anja (Stu).
Now about that other treasure… this image:
seems to be work by not Andre Govia but rather an artist by the name of martyn smith and this excellent photo stream can be found here.
This Super Sneaky Spy Guy game is fun to play but it does have a few quirks. The first one is the Arrow Puzzle Box, I think you have to move your cursor on and off the arrow if it’s to be repeated. And yes it is. The second one is when you get to the Stony Lavatory go ahead and light the candles if you wish. They don’t seem to do anything but it’s sweet to see their reflections in the mirror also light up!
Over at EscapeGames24.com the poster called Flora helped me by confirming I had the right answer to the Arrow Puzzle and another poster yclept “US” reminded me that there was a fire pit.
Now about the boat we’re escaping in, it’s called a Z Boat and was designed by Zaha Hadid and people either love it or hate it. I think it’s cool even if it’s impractical.
OK. I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that this game doesn’t need a mapthrough. And guess what, you’re right. But this thing just took on a life of it’s own and demanded to be made. So here it is:
PS: I couldn’t find the 4th button in the room I call “Hydrotherapy Bed” so I went to EscapeGames24.com for help.
PPS: And who can not admire this thing…
Andre Govia is responsible for the images in this game and that particular image, which I called Gizmo, he, being the creative genius that he is much more appropriately titled it Contraption, can be found here.
Wow. The master has outdone himself with this game! I am extremely sorry I didn’t get this mapthrough done earlier, my bad. A couple of things you will notice about this map, the rooms are colour coded so each task, or group of tasks, is given it’s own colour and you will also see I used the crystal ball from other SD games. There is no crystal ball in this game but there is a wonderful magical portal but I don’t have a good icon to represent it, not yet. Anyway, here’s the picture:
P.S. How any of you got through this without a mapthrough is mind boggling!
